FL Studio 21 - Frequency Trainer 1.0
About - This is a free and simple to use frequency trainer which can serve as a ear primer for mixing and mastering sessions or general ear training purposes. This Patcher preset uses a free noise generator by Melda Productions to generate a noise signal that is used to hear frequency changes. There is also a version without noise which can be used on your tracks/sounds. Both of these have an option for EQ. One uses ProQ3, Slice EQ and a free alternative from Melda Productions called MEqualizer. I recommend using ProQ3 because there is a hard roll-off on MEqualizer.

Ear Trainer VideosWhy use it - This tool is designed to help your ears get calibrate to frequencies across the spectrum. This helps engineers get their ears ready for sessions or train their ears to become more aware of certain frequencies and how they sound relative to a noise floor.
How to use - Turn the device on and toggle the desired frequencies. The limiter toggle is inverted meaning when it's on it's actually bypassed.
"On/Off" button toggles MNoiseGenerator on and off. (ONLY ON THE PRESETS WITH MNoiseGen)
"Bypassed" bypasses all EQ changes to make it easier to switch between multiple changes and none. (ONLY ON VERSIONS WITHOUT MNoiseGen)
"Boost" numbers under this will be boosted.
"Cut" numbers under this will be cut
"Volume" controls the overall volume with the dB showing approximate true peaks.
"Q" changes the band width of every band.
"Limiter" toggles on a Maximus that prevents the difference in volume straining the ears or hearing how a dominant frequency can affect dynamics. "Volume" macro does affect the volume into the compressor.
